From our Missionaries

Bill Daab, Jordan asks prayer for residency issues for his family as well as for the pastor of their church as well as the ongoing process of the church’s official recognition/legal standing and the difficulties these issues present in operating an Independent Baptist Church. Also, please pray for the Iraqi youth of whom they have been ministering as currently there is great dissention and discouragement in the group and many are no longer attending. Some of them are in refugee statues which makes their lives very challenging.

Kevin Pestke, Zambia would like us to pray for 27 young people who graduated in December from their Bible Institutes as many of them have a “desire to serve our Lord in full-time ministry and find that specific place He would have them use their skills and talents.” We can also be in prayer for his wife, Savannah, in her 7th month of pregnancy.

Elijah Koske, Kenya needs prayers for financial support toward their next building project which includes the building of the Bible school facilities. They need $3,000 to build each of three classrooms, $6,000 for the men and women dormitories, and $2,500 for a small library.

Dave Kistler, Evangelist writes to ask for our continued and escalated prayers for the coming year’s “jam packed” schedule, for the 40 plus scheduled evangelistic/revival meetings, as well as for three missions trips being planned to Kenya, South Africa, and England of which two of these are stadium events.

Prayer for my Cousin Donna Gaskill

Please add my cousin Donna Gaskill to the prayer chain. In earlier December she found out that she had several spots on her lungs. On December 29th, they confirmed that she has lung cancer. Doctors wanted to do more test to see if the cancer had spread, if they would be able to operate or treat it with Chemo. Yesterday she received a phone call from her doctor who told her that her lungs would have to wait as she as a tumor on the brain. She is going for more tests today to see how they will be able to treat the tumor. She is currently out of a job and her husband job is extremely slow therefore not hardly any income coming in. They live in Las Vegas and she has lost both of her parents to cancer. It is all in GOD’s hands, please just pray for the Gaskill family and my family.

God Bless,

Kristy Casteel

Let’s love on one of our soldiers

Good Morning,

I dropped Tyler off at Boot Camp last night in Columbus. He was funny, when we were driving down I asked him if he needed me to stop and he said “No Mom, Just take me home.” Realizing that he accepts that the Military is his home now, I just smiled and said ok….. It was not as emotional for me this time to drop him off but more of a Proud Moment as I watched him dressed in his uniform walking down the sidewalk to check in. Tear! Tear! Goes here.

Below is his address at Fort Benning. He will be entering the final 9 weeks of his training he will need a lot of encouragement, if you want to send him a letter his address is below. They call him the “Preacher Boy” because everyone goes to him for answers about the bible. He has been able to witness to a few of the guys and we gave him a complete KJV pocket bible to take back with him so that he can have the old testament too.

He should learn his duty station in a few weeks, right now it looks like Alaska but that could change too. Graduation is scheduled for March 5th. I will keep you posted as I hear from him and if graduation date changes. Ricky and I appreciate your prayers and support for Tyler while he was home.

Happy New Year to all of you and my God Bless each of you.

Vonda.
