Praise and Prayer

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had an MRI of the brain for my headaches.
I have been suffering with a headache everyday since Thanksgiving week.
The MRI showed NO SIGNS OF CANCER! This is a praise!
The MRI showed some ischemic changes in the frontal lobe and in a vessel.
The oncologist thought it may be a sign of a stroke.
I went to the neurologist yesterday and PRAISE GOD it is common in migrance patients
so these changes are not ischemic (stroke)!!!
I am to keep a diary of my headaches! I have been suffering and only taking my
medication twice a week and he let me know that I could take it up to 5 times if needed!
What a blessing!
He may start me on a daily medication to prevent the headaches if he sees a need when
looking at this months diary.
Please keep me in your prayers! I have been headache free for 4 wonderful days, but
I got a miagrane today! Hopefully it will go away and not come back! I just took my medicine.

Thanks,
Tammy Nichols!

David is home

Hi Brother Billy,

I really don’t know where to start to thank everyone for everything they have done for David and I this month. My recovery from knee replacement seems to be ahead of schedule and I have started outpatient rehab, David’s family is of course still mourning and missing his Dad, his sister is at home and has very few problems from the stroke and Praise the Lord David got to come home from the hospital yesterday. He is in quite a bid of pain but that is to be expected. He follows up in 2 weeks with the orthopedic surgeon and vascular surgeon and starts rehab. We want to thank everyone that called, sent text, visited, sent cards, brought food but most of all for all the prayers. I really felt the prayers that were going up while I was waiting in the emergency surgery waiting room Christmas Eve night and again Monday when they closed his incision. "Thank you" does not begin to express what we both feel for our church family but we did want to try to express our gratitude and above all our thanks to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for showing us His mercy and his love. We love you all, Carol & David Kimbro

Update Jon Ferdinand

Christmas Greetings to all!

Just wanted to give you all the latest on Jon, we saw the doctor for an unrelated issue from the Bone Marrow BX, and he gave us the preliminary Bone Marrow report, as all the results are not in until next week-

Seems the plasma cell level in the Bone Marrow has now reached 10%- which means that he has converted to myeloma. This is an early stage and they are going to treat him …..as the doctor is concerned about the increased level plasma cells in the bone marrow that is producing mutated protein into the blood which is circulating through his kidneys.

This causes kidney damage. So in an attempt to save the kidneys-which at this point are functioning as they should- the doctor is going to begin treatment-because with this disease, the patient has a greater risk of dying from kidney failure than the bone cancer.

This is not what we were hoping to hear- but Praise the Lord- He IS GOOD all the time and we will see Our Lord and Savior get all the glory for the healing that is ours at the cross where Satan, sin, disease, and death were defeated through the shed blood of our Lord!

We certainly covet your prayers and wish all a very Merry Christmas!

Love Tina

Pray for David Kimbro

Grace~ites please keep David Kimbro and his family in your prayers this Christmas season.

David accidentally shot himself in the wrist twice while cleaning one of his dads guns. Two entry wounds and two exit wounds, one around his elbow.

David and his mom had just returned from seeing his sister at the hospital, she had suffered a stroke.  David is presently at Atlanta Medical Center undergoing surgery.

Remember this dear family, as Carol is still rehabbing her knee, and of course they all mourn the passing of Davids dad just 8 days ago.

Austin is in the hospital in serious condition

Austin (Randy Cochran’s nephew) has been really sick for a while now and things got REALLY bad yesterday (Monday) afternoon and I took him to the ER and they admitted him right away. Diagnosed him with pancreatitis and he’s in “serious” condition. He was SO pitiful it broke my heart. He was shaking, almost violently, and I put my arms around him as tight as I could and still couldn’t stop the shaking. He couldn’t stop vomiting, his blood pressure was off the charts, he was covered in red splotches all over his body and couldn’t even stand up. It was awful and heart-wrenching! They told us that 15% of people who have this don’t make it and I nearly passed out! OMG, I can’t lose my son!!!! Please, please pray for him!!!!! (Salvation of this nephew is a big question and very doubtful.)

Death in family

Subject: Death in family

My son-in-law’s grandmother (his mom’s mother) collapsed Saturday and was rushed to hospital where she was removed from life support Sunday and passed away. Alayna and Brett will be traveling today to Panama City for the viewing and the funeral is tomorrow. While I believe his ‘pegwa’ was saved, there is much family drama at this time and we know how grieving can further exacerbate that. Please pray for the peace of God, for Christ’s comfort, for wisdom, for traveling mercies and for the Holy Spirit to call those who are not saved to accept the free gift of salvation.

Love you all!

Praise!

I spoke with the sales rep I had requested prayer for a while back for her diagnosis and treatment of rectal cancer. Treatments have been going well and day by day she said her strength is returning. The 3rd week in January is when she gets another Biopsy and scan done. She also shared how her husband had quit his job to care for his ailing father, also living with them – so with all he is doing caring for her and his Dad, needless to say he is tired. She just praised how awesome he is and all that he is doing. Please be in prayer for him as well as his Dad….. for strength, mercy, long suffering and love as well as wisdom. She was very grateful to know so many were praying for her and that we would continue to do so for her and her family.

Love you all!
