Please . . . .

Good Morning Everyone,

March 31 is my sister Debbie’s husbands birthday. It will not have been a year until June 5 that he passed away. All of the special dates we shared with our loved one are emotional after they are gone. I know from my own experience that it would mean the world to her to know we are thinking about her. Her e-mail and cell number are listed below.

God bless all and have a wonderful day.

Paulding Pregnancy Services

Big things are happening at PPS, and we need you!! We want to make ourselves more available to teens and young women who may be pregnant, scared and wondering what they should do. We need volunteers who can come along side these young ladies, love them like Christ does, share the truth with them and love them some more. We need you or someone you know to be a peer counselor.

You say you don’t know the first thing about counseling? I’m not qualified. Find someone else… Remember, Jacob cheated, Peter had a temper, David had an affair, Noah got drunk, Jonah ran from God, Moses committed murder, Gideon was insecure, Miriam gossiped, Martha worried, Thomas doubted, Sara was impatient, Elijah was moody, Zacchaeus was short, Abraham was old & Lazarus was dead. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the CALLED! We’ll give you training, time and a lot of grace.

You still don’t feel that God is calling you to counsel right now? That’s okay. Will you please share this opportunity with your church – maybe in the bulletin or the PowerPoint announcements before service or your Sunday School class? How about passing it along to your friends? Any way you can get the word out would be appreciated.

For more information about the Peer Counselor opportunity, please e-mail pps_education or call the center (located on Lake Road in Hiram) at 770 222-6911. Find out more about the center at www.pauldingpregnancy.org.

Missionary Urgent Request

Dear friends,

We have an ongoing request regarding our facilities that is becoming urgent. The landlord of the two apartments we use for our church and college is pressuring us to either pay a retroactive 40% increase in rent (imagine your rent increasing 40% 3 months from now!), or move out in July. The ministry cannot really afford that increase, but moving would be damaging to the ministry at this time, especially with such a short time to accomplish it. We are hoping to hold off the increase until the end of the year and then move.

We have been praying for some time about purchasing a small facility for the church and school together to provide stability and remove the constant pressure we get from the landlord. We currently do not have the funds for this either. We are looking for rental properties in a better location as well.

Please pray for wisdom for Pastor Ghassan as he deals with the landlord and as we look for better possibilities. Thank you for remembering us…

Prayer requests and updates

From: Moore, Vicky L [mailto:Vicky.L.Moore@questdiagnostics.com]

Good Morning!

I have updates and new requests:

  1. My neighbor Marci Schumacher is undergoing 3rd round of treatment for Pancreatic CA after a summer diagnosis ’11 and is considering going to MD Anderson in Texas for further treatment; she is unsaved (husband is David)
  2. PRAISE! My other neighbor’s Mom, Barbara Volpi, was diagnosed with Chronic Myelo-monocytic Leukemia before Christmas and we are praising the Lord that this round of chemo has stabilized her blood counts
  3. My neighbor’s Cathy and Scott are dealing with Scott’s lay-off. I believe he has perhaps found another position but believe there is probably a lot going on outside of that as well.
  4. PRAISE – my neighbor Andrea has recovered nicely from a parotid tumor removal 6 weeks ago with the exception of some eye muscle weakness and getting back to her pre-surgical stamina (she’s a Paulding county teacher) – praying for full recovery for her
  5. PRAISE – my neighbor Ziggy’s recovery from surgery to replace the stimulator he had for his back pain that went haywire
  6. Ziggy’s Mom, Lourdes – many health issues
  7. Colleague’s daughter – Kaylyn – still struggling with bipolar issues; dealing with a severe law enforcement issue that could jeopardize her future; wisdom for her parents as they are in Colorado while she is here in Georgia.
  8. Colleague’s parents – Dad will be having first time visit with oncologist for lung cancer diagnosis tomorrow 3/28; Mom’s weight has dropped significantly and my friend suspects she too may be dealing with something very serious as well. Parent’s are dealing with a Meth-addicted son and girlfriend (they have a baby too!) who all live with them which has added horrible stress.
  9. PRAISE! My step-mom’s son-in-law Rich has had great scan reports (he has Lung Cancer)
  10. My Step-Mom’s mother-in-law recently had a dbl-mastectomy at 82 y/o
  11. PRAISE! Our friend Jon Ferdinand (his wife is who won me to the Lord) was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and has been undergoing chemo for months now – his protein counts have come down significantly – he is giving all the glory to the LORD!
  12. PRAISE! My brother-in-law Scot Moore has been eating real food for several weeks now and getting back to doing yard work, and all those fun things on the ‘honey-do’ lists that he hasn’t been up to while going thru chemo. His next scans are scheduled for May. (wife-Molly, niece/nephew: Maggie and Sean)
  13. My Dad and step-Mom Ann Marie will be beginning their trek back to Ohio in 3 weeks and have decided once again to stop and spend a few days with us (such a JOY!!) – I continue to pray not only for their safety and health but most importantly for their salvation!
  14. My daughter Katey and her application to the education program at KSU; classes/exams/projects this semester
  15. My daughter Alayna and her baby – Baby has refused to have its ‘picture’ taken to have specific measurements taken (via Ultrasound) so she has had to go to a high-risk obstetrician. There are concerns with a few things but with her stress at school, with her kids, upcoming FCATs (Florida’s state exams for the kids), she is struggling.
  16. and unspoken PRAISES for me :o)
